Mansour Hassan Alkmim holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Brasilia with emphasis on control and vibration. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Mechanical Science program of the University of Brasilia in the Dynamic System group (GDS).
Mansour participated in scientific program with Aline S. de Paula during the year of 2012 with themes in non-linearity and chaotic systems. In 2013, Mansour received a scholarship to study at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in the United States, where he obtained a minor degree in Aerospace Engineering. Furthermore, in 2014, under the guidance of Daniel Inman, he became involved with a project at the University of Michigan in the Aerospace Engineering Department working with vibration suppression using magnetoelastic meta-structures.
Back in Brazil, he did an internship in a wind energy company where he worked on renewable energy projects, wind farms, micro siting, wind turbines, and their technologies. At the beginning of 2016, he began his Master’s on the topic of passive vibration absorbers in wind turbines, oriented by Adriano T. Fabro and cooriented by Marcus V. de Morais.
